Sheff V O'Neill 20th Anniversary
Today, on the 20th anniversary of the case that came to be known as Sheff v. O'Neill, those involved reflect on the legacy of the decision with a mixture of frustration and optimism. The 1989 lawsuit paved the way for city students to look beyond Hartford's borders for their education.
